SCREENINGS
After a successful international festival tour, Ferryman screened in select cinemas in the UK across the summer of 2023 and released online worldwide in September 2023.
The first festival to select Ferryman was Snowdance in January 2022 in Germany. Writer / director Darren Bender dropped in for a Q&A with composer Rob Clydesdale and was delighted when Ferryman was awarded the Best Script Award.
The second festival to screen Ferryman was the Durango Independent festival in Colorado USA, where Ferryman received the Best Narrative Film Award, and Carli Fish won the Best Actress Award for playing Eve.
At the New Hope film festival in Philadelphia, Ferryman won the
Best Picture Award.
Ferryman won the
Best First Feature Award
at the Kingston International Film Festival in London, sponsored by leading London post-production house lipsync, with a useful £13,500 worth of post services for the next film.
The film also screened at the Phoenix Independent Film Festival in Arizona, with four Q&A discussions and a nomination for best international film.
Ferryman went down well at the Port Townsend Festival, at the Massachusetts Independent Film Festival and it won a Special Jury Award at Houston WorldFest.
At the Central Alberta Film Festival, two of our cast - Clint Dyer and Raquel Cassidy - were nominated for best actor awards and the film won the Audience Choice For Best Narrative Feature Award.
